Introduction to Iyengar yoga

Iyengar yoga aims to cultivate a greater awareness of the body and breath, the mind, or soul, through practices starting on the outside and working inwards. This session will be about awakening the inner self through our practice of yoga by becoming aware of grounding and stability and alignment in the asanas. Just like a tree that starts through strong roots, it grows up, branches out, and spreads, so will the bodies open up to become more spacious, light and free. Open your body, open your mind!
